Washington State regulates public and semi public aquatic facilities under Chapter 246-260 WAC. These rules cover many water recreation facilities, including pools at apartments, condominiums, hotels, motels, RV parks, homeowner associations, clubs, and similar properties. Single family home pools are not regulated under these state public pool rules.
Washington requires public pool facilities to meet design, construction, operation, safety, and maintenance standards.
