Elevator Phone Line

How your cellular elevator phone line installation works

  • Request your elevator phone line quote
Share your building address, number of elevators, and current monthly elevator phone costs.
  • We evaluate coverage and choose the best carrier
MyLinkLine uses our coverage scoring system to check signal quality at your property and select the strongest network from AT&T, Verizon, or T Mobile for each elevator phone line.
  • You choose your installation option
Installation is simple. Many customers have their own team install the unit in the machine room, or on top of the elevator car, or in the building telephone room. If you prefer, MyLinkLine can arrange nationwide professional installation for you.
  • We activate and test your elevator phone line
Once installed, we activate the cellular elevator phone line, place test calls to your elevator monitoring service, and confirm that call routing and dialing operate correctly and comply with code requirements.
  • Heartbeat Monitoring and FirstNet options keep you protected
After activation, Heartbeat Monitoring continues to check the line and sends alerts if issues arise. For elevators that need elevated priority in an emergency, FirstNet can be added to give calls priority on the carrier network.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MyLinkLine cellular elevator phone line code compliant?

Yes. All MyLinkLine cellular elevator phone lines are designed to meet ADA, ASME A seventeen point one, ANSI, and IBC code requirements and to comply with applicable state and local elevator communication regulations when installed correctly.

Will the cellular elevator phone line work during a power outage?

Yes. Each unit includes a built in battery that provides up to forty eight hours of standby time and about four hours of talk time. If building power is lost, the elevator phone line continues to operate using battery power so riders can still call for help.

Does the system work with my existing elevator telephone and monitoring service?

Yes. MyLinkLine Cellular Connect works with all standard elevator telephones and monitoring services. The unit connects using standard telephone ports, so in most cases, you can keep the in-car elevator phone and your current monitoring provider while upgrading only the phone line itself.

What are the cost savings of switching my elevator phone line to cellular?

Most customers save about thirty percent or more compared to what they currently pay for elevator phone landlines. Some customers, especially those with many elevators or high local landline charges, have seen savings above sixty percent. Actual savings depend on your current rates, taxes, and regulatory fees in your state and local area. Your quote will show your expected savings line by line.

Since 1996, MyLinkLine has specialized in emergency phone solutions, serving a large base of elevator and emergency phone customers across the United States
